"OPEN" SPACES

"Open" space elopements are quick, simple elopements that can really take place anywhere. There is no fuss involved with decorating or making it more complicated. These locations are great for couples that simply want to take say their vows somewhere naturally beautiful.

OPEN SPACES VS. RENTAL SPACES

These open space locations are generally locations that are not a part of any official parks or trails, so during COVID-19, these locations would not likely be gated off because they are free "open" spots. However, it is important to note that, especially during COVID-19, that ceremonies and photos would need to be kept relatively short, since these locations may still not be technically open to public gatherings. Nonetheless, I have tried to come up with locations that are pretty rural, so hopefully your gathering would not be bothered (or even noticed), and everyone would be able to continue social distancing if needed. Rented spaces, since they are private, would be something to consider if you don't want to feel too rushed and want to ensure that your ceremony is private and permitted.

Below are suggested "open" space locations:

Lake Fulmor, Idyllwild, CA

Doane Pond, Palomar Mountain, CA

Indian Hills Trail, Twin Peaks, CA

Mojave River Road, Crestline, CA

Skyline Ranch Road, Yucca Vallery, CA

Pioneertown Road, Yucca Valley, CA

Wasteland Campsite, Joshua Tree, CA

Hugh T. Osborne Lookout Park, Brawley, CA

Painted Canyon, Mecca, CA

Walker Canyon, Lake Elsinore, CA

San Jacinto Wildlife Area, Nuevo, CA
